Ron Meek
Ron Meek

With almost forty years of corporate management experience Ron has experienced a broad range of business environments and circumstance. Coming to the Northwest to begin his career with Price Waterhouse in 1969, Ron had just completed his degree in Accounting and Business Administration at the University of Kansas. Venturing further north to Fairbanks Alaska to work for a former client Ron found that it can be too cold and returned to the warmer and wetter Puget Sound after only two Alaska winters.

Ron’s varied industry management experience includes mining, advertising, insurance brokerage, sports wear manufacture, hedge funds, and, of course, construction. In the mid-70’s he found himself commuting to New York City half time to help in the development of a computer system for a national insurance brokerage while maintaining the financial management responsibilities of the regional brokerage in Seattle.

At the end of the Bosnia war, Ron had his greatest challenge. In the spring after the Bosnian war ended in December, he traveled to Sarajevo Bosnia to assist businesses in emerging after the war. Those organizations at the beginning of the war were socialist controlled enterprises and six years later at the end of the war were expected to emerge as competitive businesses dealing in a global economy. Working with local private banks, the World Bank, and United States AID programs he was able to assist in securing financing to restart several companies. One, a uniform manufacturer, was able to provide employment for over 800 war widows. Another virtually rebuilt the telecommunications infrastructure of the country.
